Humanitarian Engineering Workshop

Humanitarian engineering concerns itself with how engineers can improve the technological capacity in at-risk and disadvantaged communities. The workshop enables students to formulate proposals for complex humanitarian problems and understand the ethical, cultural and social issues in humanitarian work. The workshop also aims to develop an appreciation among the students for the complex and ill-defined problems in humanitarian work.
With the diversified skill set of the mentors, we are trying to creating an environment in which our engineers are mixing with other disciplines and opening up their minds to think differently. The one week long immersive workshop expose the students to 40 hours of instruction and activities, including Rapid Prototyping for Humanitarian Innovation.
